BUYER QUESTIONS

Granite sourcing questions, answered.

Practical answers on materials, minimum quantities, lead times, finishes, quality control and shipping terms — the points buyers ask about most.

01What granite products does Qijia Stone supply?

Granite slabs, cut-to-size project panels, countertops and vanity tops, memorial and monument components, and custom-shaped stone such as steps, kerbs, copings and cladding profiles. Core materials include G603 Sesame White, G654 Sesame Black, G664 Luoyuan Red and G682 Yellow Rust, plus other Chinese and imported granites on request.

02Where is the factory, and which port do you ship from?

The factory is in Yuanxia Industrial Zone, Shijing Town, Nan'an, Fujian, China — inside the Shijing stone industrial cluster, roughly 60 km from Xiamen Port. Shipments normally move FOB Xiamen; CIF and door-to-door terms can be quoted.

03What is the minimum order quantity?

Slab and panel orders are quoted per 20ft container — typically 20 to 25 tonnes, or 250 to 300 m² depending on thickness. Trial orders and sample shipments can go LCL. Custom fabrication quantities depend on the drawing and material availability.

04How long does production and delivery take?

Standard slabs and panels usually take 15 to 25 days after deposit and drawing approval; larger project orders run 25 to 40 days. The confirmed lead time is stated in the quotation, and pre-shipment inspection is completed before packing.

05Which finishes and thicknesses are available?

Polished, honed, flamed, bush-hammered, sandblasted, leather and split-face finishes. Standard thicknesses are 18 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm; other thicknesses and calibrated panels with controlled tolerance are produced to drawing.

06Can you cut to drawing and match edge profiles?

Yes. DWG, DXF, PDF and SketchUp files are reviewed before quoting, and a shop drawing is returned for approval. Edge profiles include eased, bullnose, ogee, bevel and dupont, with radius and mitre work for countertops, steps and copings.

07How is quality controlled before shipment?

Each batch is checked for dimensional tolerance, thickness consistency, colour and vein matching against the approved sample, squareness, surface defects and edge quality. A pre-shipment inspection report with photos is issued, and third-party inspection such as SGS or BV can be arranged.

08Do you provide free samples?

Yes. 100 × 100 mm or 150 × 150 mm samples of standard materials are free; the buyer covers courier cost, which is credited against the first order. Custom-finished or large-format samples are produced at cost.

09What are the payment and shipping terms?

Standard terms are 30% T/T deposit with the balance against a copy of the bill of lading. L/C at sight is accepted for project orders. Export documents include commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin (CO or Form E as required).

10Can buyers visit the factory or arrange third-party inspection?

Yes. Buyers and their QC teams are welcome at the Shijing factory. If travel is not possible, a live video walkthrough or video inspection can be arranged, and third-party inspection is coordinated before container loading.
